Fall is my favorite time of year. I love all the colors and more importantly all the fall food! =) This dish is served great on it's on or with my Cinnamon Maple glazed Apples and Pears.
Serving size is based on two slices per serving. They are very hearty servings.
In a large shallow dish (I use a 9x9 Pyrex pan), add cream, milk, eggs, puree, vanilla, and spices. Whisk together until well combined.
Preheat griddle to 350° and melt some butter on it, using a flat spatula spread the butter around the griddle.
Add bread to egg mixture, as many as will fit with out squashing it together. Let it soak for about 30 seconds, flip and repeat on the other side of bread.
Transfer slices to hot griddle and cook until golden brown, flip and cook the other side until golden brown. Transfer to serving plate.
*Bread: I used a loaf of Pamela's amazing bread that I baked several days prior and stored in an air tight container for, it was a bit stale. I sliced it into 12 equal slices.
