These little potato-filled monsters go down way too easily for something that is so difficult to pronounce (no-kee). Boil them in water, and when they float to the surface, usually within 4 minutes, they're done. An easy way to get greens, such as kale or Swiss chard, into your meal is to add them to the water and bring them out with the gnocchi.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the gnocchi until they float to the surface, then drain. Combine the pasta sauce and meat crumbles in a saucepan. Simmer until warm. Spoon the sauce over the gnocchi.
Variation:
Add sauteed onions and mushrooms, fresh garlic, oregano, rosemary, basil, or a splash of red wine to the sauce.
