Emma O'Donnell's recipe
1. Beat eggs and milk together. Add sugar, salt and vanilla, mixing well. Ladle into custard cups, than place cups in shallow pan, adding an inch of hot water to the pan. Place in 350 degrees oven and bake 35 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. (Peach slices may be placed on top before baking or added just before serving.) Sprinkle tops of custard with nutmeg before baking if it is being used.
