Brown ground beef, onion and green pepper.
While meat is browning, cook pasta to al dente stage.
Once meat is browned, add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic, salt, black pepper and paprika. Mix well and add pasta. Simmer 10-15 minutes to blend flavors.
Slow Cooker Instructions: Put all ingredients, except pasta, in Crockpot. Cook low 8-10 hrs (high 4-5 hrs) stirring occasionally. Add al dente pasta during the last 20 minutes of cooking.
Our family likes a touch of spice so I add crushed red pepper. Note: if the tomatoes seem a bit acidy I add brown sugar. Ok, one more secret, I've also been known to add liquid smoke and of course don't forget to top it with parmesan cheese.
