Start large pot of water to a boil.
In medium sauce pan bring to a boil milk. Add Farina while continuously wisking until thick. Add eggs and beat well. Sift flour and salt into the mixture. Beat for 2 to 3 minutes. Cool. Roll out on floured board into 8x16-inch rectangle. Cut into 8 squares.
Split each plum, remove pit and reform. Place a plum in center of each square. Press dough around plum and roll in palm of hand to seal.
Drop into boiling water. Cover and boil 20 minutes.
Serve with cottage cheese, sugar and melted butter.
Peaches, strawberries and blueberries can be used instead of plums.
