Mix flour, salt, and dry yeast in bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Blend sour cream, egg yolks and vanilla. Gradually add to flour mixture, mixing well. Divide dough into 6 parts. Chill about 3-4 hours. Make filling just before rolling out dough.
Filling: Beat egg whites gradually adding sugar and vanilla. Fold in chopped nuts.
On a board lightly dusted with powdered sugar, roll each part into a 12 inch circle, about 1/8 inch thick. Cut each circle into 8 wedges.
Spread about 1 teaspoon of the mixture over each wedge. Roll from the widest end to the point. Bake on greased baking sheets at 350? for 18-20 minutes. Cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar just before serving.
