Best banana bread ever. My Mom made this for us when we were little! No other recipe is as good!
Mix banana and shortening together. Add sugar and 1 egg.
Mix cake flour, baking soda and baking powder together. Add slowly to the banana and sugar mixture. Add in 2/3 tablespoons buttermilk and walnuts.
Bake at 350 degree oven for 55-60 minutes.
*Can make your own buttermilk by adding a dash of vinegar or lemon juice to milk. Let sit for 10 minutes before adding.
