This is the pumpkin pie that Grandma Esta Murray always made around Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Bake pie shell at 200° until shell is warm and just puffs-up. Mix all ingredients together. Heat mixture over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture reaches the same temperature as the pie shell. Do not allow to boil. Pour into pie shell and bake at 350° for 10 minutes, then bake at 275-300° for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. If the crust starts to brown too quickly, cover the crust with tin foil strips.
