Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 325. Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla and melted chocolate. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add alternately with buttermilk. Grease and flour two 9" cake pans. Pour batter into pans. Bake for 40 minutes or until knife inserted in he center comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely.
To prepare frosting: Combine butter, cream cheese and vanilla. Add salt. Beat until smooth and creamy. Gradually add confectioners sugar; beating on low speed. Stir in milk and chocolate. Beat until fluffy.
