This was a recipe from the summer of 1971, which we spent at Lake Texoma. Some of the young moms there were very interested in improving nutrition for their families.
Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Mix liquids separately and then pour over dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Spread thinly on cookie sheets (parchment paper would prevent sticking) and brown in medium oven (325 degrees) for about 15 minutes. Store in dry place.
Note: coconut, raisins, currants or other dried fruits may be added to this mixture.
