Before baking preheat oven to 350?F.
LIGHTLY grease cookie sheets.
Cream butter and sugar well, add egg and extracts, and milk.
In a separate mix together (well) : dry ingredients. Add to wet mixture.
form into a log and wrap with plastic wrap, refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Using 1/2 or less of dough (leave rest in frig. until ready to use) roll out and cut, placing on prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for appx. 11 minutes or until edges are lightly brown.
Leave on pan for 1 minute cooling then transfer to racks to finish cooling.
Note: if dough becomes to hard to deal with return to refrigerator for a while.
