Macaroni, ground beef (impossible?), cream sauce with dab of cinnamon
Meat sauce:
Saute onions, add hamburg and brown. Add tomato sauce, cinnamon, salt and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes.
Macaroni:
Cook according to package and drain. Brown ¼ LB butter and toss into macaroni. Mix in 1 cup grated cheese and 2 beaten eggs. Set aside.
Cream Sauce:
In saucepan melt 1 stick of butter and stir in ½ cup flour until smooth. Gradually stir in 1 qt milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick and smooth. Stir in 3 TLB sugar. Gradually stir about 1/3 of the hot sauce into 4 beaten eggs, then pour egg mixture into remaining hot sauce, stirring constantly to keep from lumping. Cook about 5 min until thickened. Remove from heat, stir in 1 cup cheese.
Layer half macaroni in 9x13 " pan. Dab on a little of the cream sauce (about 1 cup). Add the meat sauce and layer the rest of the macaroni. Top w/ the cream sauce. Sprinkle lightly w/ paprika. Bake 350 about 40 min until golden.
