Suggest a better descriptionDrain the green beans completely. Cover with fresh water. Add: margarine, bacon cut into pieces. Season to taste with LOTS of garlic powder. Remember, powder is always stronger, lots of salt and pepper.
Boil for at least a half hour and simmer for another 30 minutes. The more they cook, the better they are. Add small red potatoes when almost done. Fresh green beans that you have to snap and de-string are the best ones.
