2. Add garlic; cook, stirring about 2 minutes.
3. Add green beans and a few pinches of salt and sugar; cook for 2 minutes.
4. Add 1/2 c. water, cover and cook until tender, about 6 minutes, then uncover and coil until water evaporates.
5. Season with salt and pepper; toss with chopped pecans.
