Pastry for a 2 crust 9" pie Roll and fit bottom crust in
Combine: sugar and flour
spread half on bottom of crust
Add ground cherries to pie.
Sprinkle remaining sugar/flour mixture on top of ground
Sprinkle with lemon juice and cinnamon.
Dot with butter
Roll top crust, place over pie. seal and flute edges. Cut
slits in top crust to vent.
Sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar.
Cover edges with foil to prevent burning. Remove with 15
minutes left if necessary to brown. Place on foil lined
ccokie sheet. Pie tends to bubble out.
Bake on lower shelf in a hot 425 degree oven for approx. 1
hour to 1hr &15 minutes.
Enjoy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
