First bake the potato, and make the pie filling simultaneously.
Then make the glaze. Glaze recipe: One egg yolk, add sugar and plenty of cinnamon, had plenty to glaze the pie with.
Sweet and savory. I added too much allspice, allspice and cloves taste similarly so you don't need too much. I cooked the rest of the filling first, then added potatoes. I also added cream and leeks. It ended up pretty dry, so I would add a decent amount of water during cooking and cover the pan to keep moisture in.
