Cut and peel potatoes. Put in pot of water and when it first boils take out and put in casserole dish.
Sauce: Melt 3 Tbs. of butter in pan. Stir in flour,salt,pepper and cook on low heat stirring constantly. When thickened add cheese until bubbly. Pour sauce mixture over potatoes. Add ham and mix. Sprinkle bread crumbs,2 Tbs of butter and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
