Spread mayonnaise on both sides of each roll.
Place a slice of ham and Swiss cheese on each roll. Put the top of the rolls on the ham and cheese and move all the sliders close together.
In a small non-stick skillet melt the tablespoon of butter and saute the onions over medium heat. Add the remainder of the ingredients and whisk together.
Pour the sauce over the sliders and let stand for about 10 minutes.
Cover with foil and bake for 12 - 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Uncover and cook an additional 2 minutes or until the tops are golden and crispy.
