Joann's recipe
Thaw hash browns and mix with melted butter. Press in the bottom and sides of a 9" pie pan to form crust. Bake crust at 425 for 25 min. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over crust. Refrigerate overnight if desired. Next morning, uncover and bake in a 350 oven for 30 - 40 minutes. This recipe can also be frozen, before or after baking. If frozen before baking, let thaw completely, bake as instructed. If frozen after all baking is done, let thaw and heat covered with foil at 400 about 30 minutes. The foil keeps it from browning.
