This recipe is for a healthy, delicious, easy: cold fruit smoothie -- made with banana, strawberry, blueberry, and apple.
#1. Blend all ingredients in a blender on "crush ice" mode or a setting that pulse-blends (blends with pauses in between blends).
#2. If fruit gets stuck and does not move or mix in the blender, add a little more Cold "no sugar added" apple juice (for better flow of ingredients within the blender).
#3. When the cold fruit smoothie is blended to desired consistency, use a spoon to taste the smoothie (add more frozen whole strawberries if it tastes too "banana-y"), when satisfied with the taste, pour it into clear glasses and serve with bright-colored straws.
#4. For easy clean-up: immediately fill blender 1/2 full with water and a few drops of dish-washing detergent, use "liquefy" mode for 10-15 seconds to "wash/clean" the blender, rinse blender with water and let dry.
NOTES:
-The (Banana) may be substituted with 4 ounces of (Cold unsweetened applesauce).
-The purpose of (Frozen whole blueberries) is for a brighter smoothie color.
-The purpose of (Cold "no sugar added" apple juice) is for natural sweetness.
-This recipe is great for using up your over-ripe bananas!
