Suggest a better descriptionBring water to boil. Stir in oatmeal and 3 tbsp of margarine. Let cool to 120 to 130. Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast; blend well.
Add oat mixture and egg, blend at low speed until moistened. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. By hand, stir in remaining
1 3/4 to 2 1/2 cups flour until it forms stiff dough. On floured surface, knead in 1/2 to 3/4 cup flour until dough is smooth
and elastic, about 5 minutes. Let rest 5 minutes, shape into ball. Cover, let rest 15 minutes. Punch down.
Put into greased 9 X 13 inch pan, and with a sharp knife, cut entirely through the dough, forming diamond shapes. cover with plastic wrap and a towel. Let rest at least 45 min. Spoon 4 tbsp melted butter over top. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes. Brush with the rest of the margarine and the seasonings that have been mixed together. Bake an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
