Nothing better than homemade, fresh bread for sandwiches. I love making these when I make Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches!
Mixer: milk, yeast, sugar, salt -- stop here if NOT using INSTANT yeast and let it sit for 10 minutes. If using INSTANT, continue putting in the mixer: butter, egg and 3 cups (the extra cup is there to add only if needed.... add a little at a time.
Place dough in lightly greased bowl and cover with towel until doubles in size (1 hour).
Roll dough in large rectangle, about 12 X24, 1/4" thick. Slice into 2 equal pieces (side to side, not the length.) Pinch the ends and pat or roll A LITTLE to get seams together too.
Put the rolls in ligthly greased baking sheet, cover with towel and rise for 30".
Preheat oven to 375 and bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned.
Think kindly of me while you and your family enjoy these fantastic rolls!
Love you guys..... Momma Dukes
