Suggest a better descriptionCombine the potatoes and garlic with 1/2 teaspoon salt and enough water to cover the potatoes in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 25 minutes. Drain the potatoes, reserving 3/4 cup of the cooking liquid.
Transfer the potatoes and garlic to a large mixing bowl.; beat with an electric mixer, on medium speed, until blended. Beat in the horseradish, mayonnaise, butter, the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt, the pepper, and the reserved cooking liquid until well mixed. Serve immediatiately.
