In medium saucepan, combine unsweetened or semisweet chocolate, sugar and 1/2 cup milk. Cook and stir over medium heat till mixture just comes to boiling. Stir in remaining milk; heat through. Do not boil.
Remove from heat. If desired, beat with rotary beat till frothy. Serve hot in cups or mugs. Top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream or a few marshmallows, if desired.
