Southern-style chicken fried steak with country gravy made with House-Autry breading. Best when served when mashed potatoes and broccoli.
-In a heavy skillet or fry pan, heat 1/4 inch cooking oil over medium-high heat
-Pound steaks thing to 1/4 inch and season with salt and
-Moisten steaks in milk or buttermilk
-Shake off excess liquid
-Coat in breading mix
-Fry until golden brown on both sides. About 3-5 minutes per side.
-Pour excess oil from pan and add flour
-Cook for two minutes, scraping anything stuck to pan
-Add evaporated milk and lower head, cook until thicken
-Salt and pepper to taste
-Serve over mashed steak with potatoes and vegetable
