Suggest a better description1. I take about 3 tablespoons of dried gelatin powder and dump it in 1/4 cup cold water.
2. Stir it around to mix it up and let it sit about 10 minutes.
3. Now you should have a mostly clear solution that you can add to your hot solution requiring the gelatin.
4. Adjust liquid amounts as needed to account for the cold gelatin solution.
