Suggest a better descriptionUse Dried Garbanzos Beans soak them overnight. Use a big bowl or jar and 1/3 the amount of garbanzos you need and 2/3 water. Rinse the Garbanzos Beans a few times until the water is clear. The garbanzos expand a great deal so leave room for that and some air space in the jar or bowl. I often leave the jar in the sink in case it overflows. Drain the garbanzo beans. Use fresh water and pour the garbanzo beans into a pot covering the beans with about 1/2 inch to an inch of water. Bring to a boil. Skim the foam from the water. Simmer the garbanzos for about an hour. The garbanzos are ready when soft. From: Risa.Horowitz@corp.sun.com (Risa D. Horowitz).
