Hudson Bay Bread - This is a high energy, high carbohydrate food. Great for hiking.
Cream Butter, Karo Syrup, Sugar and Maple flavoring, then add Ground Nuts and Oatmeal. Spread mixture in a large sheet pan(s). Press it down into the pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Press with a spatula upon removal from the oven. This presses the bread together to avoid crumbling. Cut while warm.
