Suggest a better descriptionCombine fruit with 1 cup of the 3/4 cup sugar, bring to boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Melt butter in 13x9 glass baking dish. To make batter, sift together flour and baking powder. Add the other cup of sugar and milk. Blend well. Pour batter over butter then pour the peaches and juice on top of the batter. Do not mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. When crust has risen to top, sprinkle with sugar and return to oven and bake 10 minutes longer.
