Remove the bad beans. You do not need to pre soak beans with the insta pot. Combine all ingredients. Cut ham steak in bite sized pieces, add to mixture. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil. The oil keeps the insta pot valve from getting clogged. Set the pot on soup mode for 60 minutes. Release steam naturally after in has set for 15 minutes.
The insta pot recommends 30 minutes but the beans were to firm for my taste so I added 30 more minutes because I like my beans softer and they turned out perfect.
