Mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder together. Add caraway seeds and raisins. Then add 1 egg, baking soda and buttermilk.
Mix with wooden spoon - the dough will be sticky.
Put some flour down on counter and knead the dough until no longer sticky.
Grease and flour around cake pan, put in round bread shape and mark cross with a sharp knife.
Brush with milk and bake on middle rack at 325 degrees for 45-60 minutes
