Suggest a better descriptionSift together in a large bowl flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add raisins.
Combine together eggs, shortening and buttermilk, add liquid mixture to dry ingredients and mis just until flour is moistened. Turn batter into greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from pan and cool on rack before slicing.
If butter is used eliminate baking powder and salt.
