2. Add meat and garlic, brown lightly.
3. Remove grease.
4. Add remaining ingredients.
5. Simmer uncovered for 2 - 2 1/2 hours or until sauce is nice and thick, stirring occasionally.
6. Remove bay leaf, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and serve.
