Suggest a better descriptionPlace sausage in a large pot over medium heat. Saute` for 10 minutes or until sausage is well browned. Use a slotted spoon to remove sausage. Reserve 1 T fat in pan and brown onion and garlic.
Return sausage to the pan. Add broth, water, wine, tomatoes, tomato (or spaghetti) sauce, wine, water, carrots, basil, oregano and spinach. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer 30 minutes, skimming any fat.
Add the mushrooms and tortellini and continue to simmer for 10 minutes or until tortellini is tender.
