classic jambalaya recipe
Heat one tbsp of oil in large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Sprinkle sausage and chicken pieces w/cajun seasoning. Saute sausage until brown, about 5-6 minutes. Remove and add chicken and remaining oil and saute until browned. Remove and add onion, pepper, celery and garlic until tender (5 minutes). Stir in crushed tomatoes, pepper flakes, black pepper, salt, hot pepper sauce, worscestershire sauce, and file power. Add chicken and sausage and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in rice and broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes until liquid is absorbed.
