In small bowl, combine seasonings. Place chicken treast side up on a rack in shallow roasting pan. Pat dry. Tuck wings under, and tie drumsticks together. Rib seasoning mixture over outside and inside of chicken. Place onion in cavity.
Bake uncovered at 350 for 2-2/12 hours, or until thermometer inserted in thigh reads 180, basting occasionally with drippings. You can cover loosley with foil if it browns early.
Cover and let stand 15min before carving.
