Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in large skillet (soup pan) over medium heat. Add mushrooms, onions, green pepper, celery and garlic. Cook, stirring, until vegetables are softened, about 10 min. Brown beef in a separate pan drain and then add to vegetables. Stir in tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer and stir in the cooked macaroni and then add the cheese. Spoon into greased 13 X 9 inch baking pan. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
This recipe makes a lot so there will be left over to freeze for later.
