Combine milk, sugar, chocolate in saucepan over low/medium heat (or in double boiler) about 15 minutes to thicken. Take whisk if needed to get to melt (combine completely). Take off heat when it's the right thickness. Add 1 t. vanilla and 1/4 c. butter. Whisk until smooth.
