Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine both flours, soda and powder in a medium mixing bowl.
Combine butter, sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix on medium to high speed with electric mixer. Reduce speed and add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls, 2 inches apart onto ungraded cookie sheet. Bake 12-14 minutes. Let stand 1-2 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet to cool.
Note: an electric mixer is recommended when adding in flour mixture because dough becomes very difficult to mix by hand. Also, 1/4 cupfuls seems like a large amount, but because the dough is thicker, it does not spread as much as other doughs.
