Preheat oven to 350.
Line large cookie sheet (with edges) with aluminum foil.
Lay out butter crackers over entire bottom of cookie sheet.
Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes:
Pour and spread over crackers.
Bake for about 3 1/2 minutes until butter mixture has bubbles all over it.
Sprinkle with milk chocolate chips.
Cover with foil to let chips melt.
Spread over entire surface.
Sprinkle with nuts if desired.
Refrigerate 2 - 3 hours or overnight.
Break into pieces.
For best results, keep refrigerated.
