Rich, crumbly peanut butter cookies with chocolate

Beat butter until soft. Add sugars gradually and blend until creamy. Beat in the egg, peanut butter, salt, baking soda and vanilla. Mix in sifted flour.
Roll the dough into small balls and roll in granulated sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Immediately press an unwrapped Hershey's Kiss into the middle of each cookie, then transfer them to a cooling rack.
The amount of flour will vary with the weather and the type of peanut butter. It should form soft, cohesive balls that are not sticky.
