Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, dash of salt and sugar in mixing bowl.
Cut in butter or shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add buttermilk. Mix quickly to form soft dough.
Turn onto lightly floured surface. Knead a few times to make soft dough. Don't
overknead or biscuits will turn hard.
Roll out to a 6 X 6square. Place on a greased baking sheet. With a knife cut into 12 pieces but don't separate the dough.
Bake at 400 for about 15 minutes. Brush with melted butter.
