Fantastic Keto Naan recipe from Headbanger's Kitchen (love this guy!). This is the perfect low-carb Naan and will be a staple of our diet. So easy to make. We eat it with our Low-Carb Butter Chicken and it's scrumptious! Check out video on YouTube.
Heat the water for 30 seconds in the microwave.
In a bowl, mix coconut flour, psyllium husk and baking powder. Add the water a bit at a time until the dry ingredients form a dough like consistency. Knead dough and form it into a ball. Let it rest for 15 minutes while the psyllium husk hydrates.
Cut the dough into 4 equal parts. Form each of the 4 dough parts into balls. Roll out the dough between two pieces of baking paper. You can cut the naan after it's rolled into the traditional rounds if you prefer.
Heat skillet on medium high heat. Add a tiny bit of butter (or your favourite oil) to the pan, just to coat it and prevent the dough from sticking. (If you use too much oil, the naan will absorb the oil and fall apart). Fry on both sides till golden to dark brown (depending how you like it) - approx. 2-3 minutes on each side. Naan will puff up in the pan while cooking but flatten out after it's off the heat.
This recipe is not forgiving of substitutions. DO NOT substitute the psyllium husk with something else. It won't work.
