Kitty and Ross came to Christmas holidays at Carriage Hills with this for our breakfast. It has since become a brunch standard recipe.
Butter 9X13 baking dish.
Arrange half of the bread in the dish, dot with half of the cream cheese pieces and 3/4 C raspberries.
Repeat with remaining bread, cream cheese and raspberries
In a large bowl whisk together the eggs, 3/4C sugar, mild, cream, cinnamon and vanilla.
Pour over the bread (pressing down a bit if necessary) and dust with remaining sugar.
Cover with tin foil and put in the fridge overnight.
In the morning, bake in 350F oven for 30 minutes leaving covered with tin foil. Remove covered bake for another 30 minutes.
Let rest 10 minutes before cutting into squares, top with remaining raspberries and serve with maple syrup.
