A yummy, almost like chocolate chip cookie desert.
Mix :1 cup softened margarine with 1.5 tsp. vanilla & 1 tsp. salt.
Gradually add: 1 cup sugar. When the mixture is well blended add 2 cups King Arthur flour, about 6-8 oz. of semi sweet chocolate bits & 1/2+ cup of chopped nuts.
Press dough mixture into an ungreased jelly roll pan (15x10x1) by hand. Bake at 375 degree 15-20 minutes. Watch so it doesn't get too brown. Top should be light to med. brown. Cool for about 12 minutes then lift and crack into pieces.
Kookie Brittle freezes well and ships great!
Let me know how it came out. If your baking pan is dark, drop temp. to 350.
