Norwegian pretzel cookies

Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg. Put soda into buttermilk and let it dissolve. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well and add vanilla. Put in refrigerator overnight. Roll dough out a teaspoon at a time into a long snake and lay on a cookie sheet in pretzel shape. Bake about 12 min at 350.
