Meat sauce: Brown ground beef in pan. Add spaghetti sauce, paste, basil and 6 oz water. Simmer for 15 minutes. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain and toss with 1 tbsp oil.
Cheese mixture: Thoroughly combine cottage cheese, eggs, and parmesan cheese. Spread thin layer of meat sauce (about 1/2 cup) in pan. Cover with a layer of lasagna noodles. Top with half cheese mixture. Repeat layers with sauce on top. Sprinkle with mozzarella or parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered at 350F for 30-40 minutes.
