Make a day ahead!
All ingredients at room temperature. Line a straight-sided souffl? dish with plastic wrap.
In a large bowl, combine cream cheese and goat cheese. Spread a 1/2 inch layer of cheese evenly in bottom of prepared souffl? dish. Then spread 1/4 inch of pesto sauce, sprinkle with pine nuts. Repeat layering until you have at least 3 to 4 pesto layers, ending with a cheese layer.
Cover surface tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for several hours until firm. To serve, uncover dish and invert onto a serving plate. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Surround platter with your favorite crackers and serve.
Cut any leftovers into wedges freeze until needed again.
