Suggest a better descriptionWhenever there is a special occasion in school, my children are told and not "asked" to bring these brownies to school for everyone.I really don`t remember where the recipe is from, I`ve been making it for so long. Preheat oven to 350. Grease or spray 9 x 13 pan. MIX BY HAND (do not use mixer!!) Sift together cocoa & baking soda. Add 1/3 cup melted butter. Add boiling water & mix until it thickens. Stir in sugar, eggs, & 1/3 cup butter until smooth. Add flour, salt & vanilla & blend completely.DO NOT BEAT! Stir in chocolate chips. Bake at 350` for 35 minutes. Cool completely in pan on rack.
