Mix all dry ingredients. Make a hole in the center and add oil. Stir in the water from the inside out. Knead until smooth and elastic. Cover with foil. Place in a preheated oven 200 (turn off oven) leave for 30 mins.
Shape dough into 8 balls about the size of baseballs. Cover with cloth of double thickness (can use clean sheet doubled) place a dry cleaners plastic bag over sheet covering balls. Let rise about 45 mins. Roll balls out into circles about 1/3 inch thick. With a knife quarter the circle. Recover with sheet and plastic let rise again 1-2 hours. Treat as pancakes, using a turner place onto baking sheet. Bake at 500 on bottom rack on a preheated cookie sheet 4-7 mins or until a golden ring shows on the bottom of the bread. Cool. Makes 32 loaves.
These are good to split and serve with beef barbecue.
